Christmas

At Christmas, we celebrate the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born into the world. His birth is a gift from God of peace, hope, love and joy for all people.

On the night of Jesus’ birth, the angel said, “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord’” (Luke chapter 2, verses 10-11, NIV)

This “great joy” refers to a feeling of calm even in chaos; happiness despite heartache. That's because the joy of Jesus is centred on a belief in God’s goodness and grounded in hope that one day everything will be put right.

So, however your Christmas looks this year, we invite you to explore Jesus’ joy, goodness and promise of new beginnings with us. Come along to one of our Christmas events, find support so you can experience joy this Christmas, or discover ways you can give a gift of joy to others.
