The Salvation Army response to Royal Commission consultation paper on redress and civil litigation
30 January 2015
The Salvation Army has contributed to and supports further discussion around issues of redress which have been raised by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
The Salvation Army has actively supported this discussion by making detailed submissions which are publicly available, as well as through its participation in private roundtable discussions with the Royal Commission and other key stakeholders.
Since the commencement of the Royal Commission in January 2013, The Salvation Army has been co-operative and supportive of the Royal Commission's important work. The Salvation Army will continue to support this work during the public consultation period for the redress paper, to help survivors receive justice with compassion and fairness.
The Salvation Army encourages anyone who has suffered abuse to contact our Centre for Restoration on (02) 9266 9781 or at centreforrestoration@aue.salvationarmy.org
