The Australian government supports Red Shield Appeal

State Minister for Housing Wendy Lovell also announced a $100,000 donation from the Victorian Coalition Government at the Melbourne launch of the Red Shield Appeal.
“The Coalition Government is proud to support community organisations such as the Salvation Army, that are addressing poverty and disadvantage in Victoria,” Ms Lovell said.
“The Red Shield Appeal is an important fundraiser for the Salvos, helping to raise money each year for its network of social and community services.”
Money donated to the Red Shield Appeal enables The Salvation Army to continue to support the people who need it most – from people struggling with homelessness to women and children fleeing a violent home or families struggling to put food on the table and meet the
