The Salvation Army's Emergency Services Update

The Salvation Army’s Emergency Services Team have been extremely active in recent weeks, particularly in this New Year.
In Tasmania, The Salvation Army has been working on the ground in
In Victoria in the last four weeks, Emergency Services Staff and volunteers:
- Assisted in fires occurring in Western Victoria (near Ararat) and Leongatha
- Provided over 1,000 meals to
fire fighters and volunteers in the Snake Valley region - Provided over 600 meals in the Yandoit area
- Assisted in 2 road accidents in Western Victoria
- Provided refreshments for over 5,000 attendees and the Falls Festival in Lorne
- Provided over 300 meals to people at fires in Kangaroo Ground
- Provided over 300 meals to people in the Little River Area
The Emergency Services teams remain ready to mobilise in anticipation of extreme weather conditions in the coming days. The risk of fires is significantly increased by the number of fires that may have been deliberately lit in recent days.
