21 April 2017

Annually, The Salvation Army releases a set of policy statements to provide recommendations to the Australian government on effectively and compassionately supporting disadvanted Australians. The Salvation Army calls on all political parties to consider the proposals and work together to find innovative responses.

The 2017 -18 policy statements highlight 6 key areas of concern:

  • Poverty and disadvantage
  • Family and domestic violence
  • Homelessness and housing
  • Alcohol and other drugs
