On The Street Spring 2019
Thank you from a nation
Across Australia, this year began with widespread drought; devastating floods; bushfires and cyclones. Many months on, these and similar events continue to impact individuals, families and entire communities.
With your support, The Salvation Army has maintained a strong presence at the forefront of disaster, through our network of rural chaplains; Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) teams and our local services; plus through the provision of essential recovery support.
I am certain you will be as moved as I am by this issue of On the Street – reading stories from supporters, volunteers, workers and from those offered care and kindness in their darkest times.
What is so inspiring is the beauty that so often grows out of hardship. Thank you for partnering with us as we live, love and fight alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time, with the love of Jesus.
May God bless you!
