On 25 April each year, many reflect on the meaning of Anzac Day.
For not only a day to acknowledge the sacrifice of courageous veterans, young and old, but to cherish and remember the many friendships formed during war.
Those on the frontline were offered comfort and support from The Salvation Army officers, reminding us that although war is often unavoidable, violence is not the solution.
We take a short journey through The Salvation Army Museum to capture the essence of war – a telegram that communicated devastating news to a family, memorabilia that depicted the severity of war, plus more.
