New Commissioner takes up appointment

Miriam GluyasCommissioner Miriam Gluyas, commences her appointment of Territorial Commander and Chair of The Australia Territory Board of The Salvation Army Australia, as of 1 February 2023.​

Having served The Salvation Army for almost 40 years in various appointments, from church planting, multicultural ministry, youth and children's ministry, Chief Secretary in Papua New Guinea and Divisional Commander of NSW/ACT Division for the past seven years, Commissioner Miriam Gluyas is committed to seeing lives transformed across our nation.​

"So many wonderful stories of what God is up to, and so many more to come … Believing with you for a magnificent future, as we continue the journey together. Faith and hope are rising," Commissioner Miriam Gluyas said.​

The Welcome Meeting and Installation of Commissioner Miriam Gluyas will be held on Sunday 12 February 2023, 3pm AEDT at Melbourne 614, 69 Bourke Street, Melbourne and livestreamed on the day.​
