Salvos Adventure Fundraising trek - Larapinta Trail - July 2016

In May 2016, we set of with our group of trekkers on the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory. This seven day adventure commenced in Alice Springs and included five days of trekking through the West MacDonnell Ranges. The walk took in breathtaking views from Euro Ridge, the famous Simpsons Gap and the spectacular Serpentine Gorge. Trekkers also swam in the cool waters of Ormiston Gorge, Hugh River, the majestic Orimston Pond and the Finke River - one of the oldest river systems in the world. The highlight for many was a pre-dawn hike to the top of Mount Sonder, the Northern Territory’s third highest peak to view a spectacular 360 degree sunrise. Together we raised over $76,000 for The Oasis Youth Support Network to help young people who are at risk of, or are, experiencing homelessness.
