This page demonstrates the articles module.
The 'news' module and the 'articles' module perform largely the same task.
'News' was an original module launched with the first release of Scribe in 2008. 'Articles' was released later and offers improved functionality.
We recommend using the 'articles' module rather than 'news' for most sites. Some of the improvements offered in articles are:
- Articles are separated into 'collections', each with their own homepage and index. This may be useful if you want a separate section of your site for a blog or for youth news etc.
- Your users can search within individual collections
- URLs are cleaner and shorter
- You can customise the order of articles within the collection (the default is by published date)
