Aged Care Plus
The Salvation Army Aged Care Plus has been providing permanent accommodation and aged care in Australia since 1899.
Over this time we have built a credible reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for the well-being of every resident and their family.
The aged care we provide goes beyond the physical to ensure our residents are healthy, comfortable and, above all, loved. We respect each individual and the rich lives that they lead, so our care is centred around their needs and preferences, not ours.
Our mission
Inspired by the message of Christ, our mission is to serve all Australians in practical and tangible ways.
Our staff have a heart for people – a deep and powerful need to care for others and we understand that accepting care is an emotional and challenging time. We welcome, support and guide all people and their families through this time, to become part of our family, where they have freedom and can be themselves.
Our model of care
The Salvation Army Aged Care Plus operates 16 residential aged care centres throughout New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland. We also operate six retirement villages, one respite centre and a range of home and community care services.
Our aged care services offer a broad selection of care options, including short-term respite care and secure dementia care. Three of our residential aged care centres also offer tailored programs to assist those living with mental illness.
All residents can be asked to pay fees and charges as a contribution towards their accommodation, living expenses and care. If residents cannot afford the fees and charges there are protections in place which ensure they will still have equal access to residential aged care.
