Worship

The Albury Salvation Army meets every Sunday for worship at 10am and enjoys a traditional style of meeting.

We currently have a brass band that provides traditional Salvation Army tunes for the congregation to worship along with. Each Sunday there are age-specific Sunday School programs (for children aged 2-13) that run from 9am to 9.45am.

The Salvation Army in Albury has always been, and still is, a vibrant part of the Albury community and continues to serve the local and surrounding rural areas with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ as the driving force of its ministry.

Its leaders are Lieutenants Rod and Deb Parsons (Deb pictured right.) Fifteen years ago they swapped their busy city lives for the NSW country town of Cooma. Both committed Christians, they eventually began working for The Salvation Army in Cooma – Deb in administration and Rod managing the Family Store.

Many years ago we found a real home with The Salvation Army and ever since we have wanted to extend that home to others around our country, says Rod.

They became Salvation Army officers and after training college were appointed to Albury.
