Griffith History

The Salvation Army in Griffith began in the 1920s with a number of meetings in the room of a home of a local Salvationist. Its first officers were Captain E Stephens and Lieutenant Wheeler. Since then it’s grown to become a hub of services to those in need in the Riverina city.
