The Salvation Army in the Shoalhaven today

A vibrant ministry still exists at The Salvation Army in the Shoalhaven today. With a worship centre on the corner of Salisbury Drive and St Anns Street, and Family Stores in south Nowra and Sanctuary Point, The Salvation Army offers the community a range of services, including 0-5 programs, children groups, groups for men, groups for women, welfare services, financial counseling, and Sunday worship meetings. Every Monday night the Shoalhaven Salvation Army offers “Sallie Sausage Sandwiches” at its worship centre – an opportunity for anyone in the community to enjoy a free meal and have a cuppa and a chat. The Salvation Army’s Recovery Services also runs its award-winning Bridge Program for recovery in Nowra. The out-client service specialises in intervention and education for people with addictions.
