Temora Heroes - Albert Edward & Murial Rumpf

Albert Edward & Murial Rumpf 1928 wedding photoThe Salvation Army in Temora has hosted its fair share of outstanding Salvationists. Albert Edward Rumpf and his wife, Murial Edna (nee Meale) (pictured right) left Temora Salvation Army to become officers in 1931. Their career with The Salvation Army saw them in many appointments such as the Field Unit (rural ministry outreach vehicle) in which they travelled to outback areas and later the Snowy Mountains, ministering to the workers on the Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme. They reached the rank of Brigadier and retired in 1968 in Auburn.
