The Salvation Army in Bowen today
Today the corps continues its ministry in this growing town in northern Queensland and still has connections to the families who were represented in the early days of Bowen Corps. In Easter 2009, a children’s camp was run in Bowen for the first time and The Salvation Army was overwhelmed by the response and support of the community in wanting to see youth ministry grow. The Salvation Army also runs a hotel ministry, a family store, welfare work, a successful women’s group and a girls’ club.
