Community Support
The Salvation Army in Campbelltown is thankful for the tremendous support from the local community over the years. When The Salvation Army had its PA System stolen during a break-in on 11 June 1974, the local RSL Club stepped in to replace it. When the Army opened a new building on the corner of Browne and Howe Street in 1979, the local Lions Club donated a truck for welfare work. And in 1980 the Camden Lions donated a trailer for the Campbelltown Salvation Army Emergency Services crew. As well as support from local clubs and associations, the community in Campbelltown and the surrounding suburbs gives generously every year during the Salvos’ Red Shield Appeal, Christmas Appeal and for other causes. Thank you Campbelltown!
