Our home in Windsor

The first Salvation Army hall in Windsor stood on the present site in George Street until it was demolished in 1928 to make way for a new building which was constructed and opened four months later, at a cost of 1000 pounds. This hall served the community well until it was severely damaged by fire in 1981. The local Salvos began fundraising immediately for a new hall and occupied a number of temporary homes for the next three years until the current Salvation Army centre was opened on 4 February 1984 (pictured right.)
