Molong

Band playing in front of Molong Community hallWhile there has not been a corps (church) in Molong for more than 45 years, the Army still has a presence in the town through visitation to aged-care facilities, the involvement of Salvationists in the community and participation by Orange Corps band in the annual combined churches carols every Christmas. Last year, Salvationists in Orange held a memorial service and open-air meeting in Molong (pictured above) to mark 125 years since the Army first “opened fire” in the central-western town.
