Our home in Rouse Hill

In the early days, the Rouse Hill Salvation Army met in the home of its first officers, Captains Dennis and Sue McGuigan (pictured right), but they soon outgrew it! Various school and community venues were hired for Sunday worship and the Salvos have now settled in Beaumont Hills Community Centre where Sunday worship is relaxed, offering life-related teaching and sharing. Soon, however, the Salvos in Rouse Hill will be “on the march”, so to speak, with plans in place to build a multi-purpose complex in Nelson. A block of land has been purchased on Edwards Road, which is right on the edge of the new Box Hill precinct. It is anticipated that the facility will be both functional and multi-purpose, allowing each space to be used in a multitude of ways. It will be an inviting facility which caters to people of all ages and for groups of varied requirements, while maintaining its main function as a church.
