Expansion

The intrepid Gosford Salvos didn’t take long to spread their wings throughout the central coast. A War Cry Report dated 8 May, 1915 gives a local officer’s report: We are gradually advancing, but our most useful work is at outposts, where the people greatly appreciate our efforts. Erina gives us a right royal welcome. We visit at intervals by bike, train and foot such places as Hawkesbury River, Woy Woy, Wyong, Ourimbah and Erina. Today, The Salvation Army on the Central Coast has centres in Gosford, Long Jetty, Umina, Tuggerah Lakes, Wyong; an Aged Care Plus Centre at Woodport and a Recovery Services Centre in Dooralong.
