Our home in Gosford

The Gosford Salvation Army held meetings at various rented premises until it  secured a building of its own. In the 1920s, Sunday meetings were held in a little room under the School of Arts referred to as “The Dungeon” because it needed candles and kerosene lamps for illumination! On 14 April 1924, Gosford Salvation Army opened its first hall on the corner of William and Gertrude Streets. In 1965, the property was sold and a hall in Mann Street was used until 1979. In 1982, the current Gosford Citadel on the Central Coast Highway in Erina was opened.
