A family connection

There seems to be an ongoing family connection with leaders of the Wellington Salvation Army. Mrs. Mavis Jones, the Grandmother of the current officer, Lieutenant Andrew Jones, remembers being in Wellington as the daughter of the officers who were stationed here in March 1932, Adjutant & Mrs. Unicomb. In addition, Mavis’ brother, Roy Unicomb, and his wife were later appointed as the officers of Wellington Salvation Army in January 1966.
