Our home in Wellington

A purpose-built hall was constructed and opened on 23 November 1904, with the local Salvation Army officer, Captain Harry Ross writing: Brother Rowe for some time has contemplated putting up a new barracks and quarters for the officers, and his face fairly beamed with joy that God had prospered him that he has now the desire of his heart. The barracks is built of brick (which were made at the Thomas’ family Bushrangers Creek brickworks) and is capable of holding 250 people, and faces the main street.
