Always about people finding freedom
From the early days when The Salvation Army band used to march down the main street of Narrabri, and Salvationists would hold open-air meetings (pictured right), to today, when Salvos can be found running kids clubs and teaching budgeting skills, The Salvation Army has always been about people finding freedom. Freedom from fear. Freedom from neglect. Freedom from poverty and addiction. Freedom to dream. Freedom to love. Freedom to make a difference. Freedom to live life to the full and freedom through Jesus. Narrabri Salvation Army officer Captain Alice Keast invites anyone from the local community to drop into the local corps (church) or family store in Narrabri and say G’day: Freedom is for everyone, she says. And we would invite everyone in Narrabri to experience it by getting involved in some of the many activities we offer at The Salvation Army. Today, Narrabri Salvos runs a very active Family Store, Salvos Connect, Emergency Services, Positive Lifestyle Program, Sally Rags, Community Care Ministry, Nursing home Ministry, Hotel Ministry and Rural Ministry.
