In times of need

Salvation Army stock imageIt’s often said that The Salvation Army has a ministry of presence – of “being there” in times of need.

During the devastating 2012 floods in Queensland The Salvation Army’s Emergency Service team in Caboolture assisted across the state. On Sunday 5 February 2012, Salvation Army Emergency Services crews from Dalby, Caboolture and the Gold Coast were flown in an Australian Defence Service Chinook helicopter to Mitchell, where they served hundreds of meals at an evacuation centre.

People in need in Caboolture can access a number of different Salvation Army services, including our Family Supported Accommodation, our Moneycare free financial counselling program, as well as emergency assistance through Salvos Connect (phone: 1300 371 288.) Low-cost clothing,  household goods and furniture are available at the Caboolture Salvation Army Family store on Lower King Street.
