In times of need

It’s often said that The Salvation Army has a ministry of “presence” – of being there in times of need. When floods devastated the area in 1968 the corps fed evacuees and used the citadel as an evacuation centre. The Salvation Army in Maryborough continues to operate a Salvation Army Emergency Services team to respond to crises and disasters when they occur.
