Peanuts!

Did you know that the Kingaroy Salvation Army used to grow peanuts?

An entry into the local Salvation Army history book on 27 March 1967 reveals that Salvationist Slim Stibbe reserved a paddock on his farm firstly at Wattlegrove and then on the corner of Taylors Road and the Bunya Highway where peanuts were gown. Salvationists assisted in the growing of the crop and The Salvation Army received the proceeds from the sale of the peanuts.
