In times of need
It’s often said that The Salvation Army has a ministry of ‘presence’- of being there in times of need.
The Salvation Army’s Toowoomba Crisis Accommodation Centre has been providing hope for homeless families and single men in the area for decades.
The Salvation Army in Toowoomba also runs SAILSS Darling Downs - a centre for people with an intellectual disability, providing hostel care and living skills.
Salvos Counselling also operates in Toowoomba, providing low-cost professional counselling for individuals, families and couples.
People in need can also access welfare support and The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare.
Low-cost clothing, household goods and furniture is available at the Toowoomba Salvation Army Family Store on Snell Street.
