Making Music

The Salvation Army in Warwick has a strong tradition of musical excellence.

In the early days, The Salvation Army brass band used to march down Warwick’s main street, calling people to the open-air meeting.

Today, Warwick Salvation Army is a proud supporter of the annual Jumpers and Jazz festival, hosting its own “Sing and Swing at the Salvos” evening. This year, The Salvation Army Revelation Big Band, which consists of musicians from a number of Salvation Army churches throughout Brisbane and the Darling Downs, returned to headline. The evening also featured the modern-day barbershop quartet Blindside. Blindside are from the northern suburbs of Brisbane and are the 2014 Pan Pacific Youth Barbershop Quartet Champions.
