The Salvation Army Dulwich Hill

The Salvation Army “opened fire” in Dulwich Hill on 16 April 1887. One of its first meeting places was a cottage known as the “Pill Box”. The first Dulwich Hill Salvation Army hall was damaged by fire in 1925. Today, The Salvation Army in Dulwich Hill is located at 54 Dulwich Street, with a community store offering low-cost clothing, household items and furniture on 725 New Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill.
