Eastern Suburbs History

The Salvation Army began operations in Sydney’s eastern beaches in Waverley in 1891. It spread throughout the eastern suburbs and at one stage had centres in Daceyvivle, Botany, Kingsford and finally Maroubra where it currently operates from.
