The Salvation Army in Glebe today

More than 100 years on, The Salvation Army continues its vibrant ministry in Glebe today. Being located just down the road from Sydney University led to having a University Chaplain on campus from 1996 to 2014. Glebe Salvos is an open and loving community where everyone is welcome. A contemporary worship gathering is held every Sunday at 10.30am with a program for kids. A number of small groups run during the week including a 12 Steps for Life group which meets on Mondays at 6pm. The Community Wardrobe is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am-3pm in the Glebe Salvation Army’s back hall. The Wardrobe offers preloved clothing for only $2.50 an item, plus free wifi, free food days and there's always someone available for a chat.
