Training the next generation

The provision of well-trained officers has been essential to the Army’s progress and development.

An officer training college was built at 55 Livingstone Rd, Petersham, and opened on 2 April 1921.

In 1995, a College of Further Education, now Booth College, was developed in Sydney.

This college has four schools – the School for Officer Training and the School for Christian Studies housed at the Bexley North campus, the School for Leadership Training at Stanmore and the School for Youth Leadership at Lake Munmorah, near Newcastle. Vocational training is also offered at regional centres.
