In times of need

It’s often said that The Salvation Army has a ministry of “presence” – of “being there” in times of need.

People in need on the northern beaches can find help, community and encouragement at the Manly New Life Community Centre which offers free breakfast and lunch three days a week, shower facilities and Sunday worship services. A monthly community meal called FEAST (Friends eating @Salvos together) has been going strong for five years with 60 plus people attending.

Low-cost clothing, household goods and furniture can be found at several Salvos Stores throughout the northern beaches and people needing emergency assistance can call our Salvos Connect line – 1300 371 288 – and they will be assessed and connected with one of our nearby centres.
