In times of need - Streetlevel Mission

In 1996, when the then Captains Paul and Robbin Moulds (pictured right) were appointed to lead the Oasis Youth Support Network, Captain Robbin Moulds felt a calling to birth a church where the young people from Oasis would feel comfortable attending. In 1998, Captain Robbin discovered that the Bondi Salvation Army was about to close and requested that she take over, creating a Salvation Army church that welcomed troubled youth, Sydney’s homeless and the poor, marginalised and disadvantaged. Three years later, when the Bondi building was no longer viable, the church moved to a Salvation Army property in Crown Street, Surry Hills, and the Streetlevel Mission was born. Today, the mission incorporates a low-cost store, a fresh food and grocery market, free meals, an internet cafe, welfare services, shower & locker facilities and much more.
