Our History

The Bayside Community Church began as the Redlands "Plant" of The Salvation Army in 1997 forging many personal contacts in the Redlands area within the first 12 months. A "Planting Team" was formed to help establish the church, and research was undertaken to identify the spiritual, cultural, social and economic demographics of the Redlands community.

Afternoon church services commenced in February 1998, a motto was soon established of being a church community with a passion for righteousness, relationships and relevance. The purpose of the church was and still is today to bring people to Jesus and fellowship in His family, to help them grow to become true disciples of Christ, equipping them for ministry in the church and evangelism in the world, so that God's name is magnified.

Whilst over the years since the commencement of The Bayside Salvos many changes have been made, strong loving relationships have been sustained, spiritual growth encouraged, various ministries formed and outreach ministries developed.
