About Us

The Brisbane City Temple Salvos is a community of people who do life together. We love God and love our city. In fact, we have been loving and serving in the heart of our city for over 130 years, commencing way back in 1885!

As you would expect, being Salvos we are practical, down to earth and real. We are not perfect. Nor can we meet every need that comes our way, but it doesn't stop us from trying to make a difference.  

We believe in The Great Commandment: 

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbour as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39

Every Sunday we discover a bit more about living out the great commandment to love. Our worship music is uplifting and when we look into what the Bible has to say it is down to earth, practical and relevant to where we live.

We believe that life is better lived together and that we can do life across the generations. That is why we have a range of activities for all types of people: kids, seniors, guys and girls. Those whose lives are going really well, and those in recovery from the bumps and knocks of life. We love music, so singing, playing and listening to great music is a part of who we are.
