Our Corps Officers / Leaders are Majors Ashley and Bronwyn Barkmeyer.

We are privileged to lead BCT at this time and we are excited to join God in the mission he has for our Corps.

Hi, my name is Bronwyn Barkmeyer, a Sydney native, I am now enjoying the inner city life of Brisbane. I have been married to Ashley for 32 years and together, we have four incredible adult children who I count as my greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.

I have a myriad of interests which include a love for art, literature - reading and writing , travel, and history. My passion for antiques is a celebration of stories untold, mysteries unveiled, and legacies preserved. Each piece I collect, ignites my imagination for the narrative within. Yet, I find my truest self in my faith. A Christ follower, loves to share God’s love, inspiring others to embrace their divine potential and serve alongside them in the journey of faith.

My deepest prayer is that my life will point people beyond myself to God, that people would see Jesus in me.

Hi. I'm Ashley. I have a real passion for family, adventure, and making a difference. Alongside my wife Bronwyn, we’ve raised four amazing, energetic kids who keep life exciting. But I still find joy in the simple things – whether it's geeking out over Star Wars, driving (and fixing) my trusty Mini - "Sir Reginald" who is like our 5th child, or getting creative with 3D printing projects.

While working in the corporate IT and Business sector for many years, I had a calling to serve God in full time ministry and so became a Salvo officer, In this ministry, I've found that true calling – connecting with people, listening to their stories, and helping them discover their potential in God. It's the hope of Jesus that fuels my passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others, bringing light to their darkest moments.
