Paul Maunder - Team Leader
I have been a part of the Salvos for most of my life and have been at Streetlevel since it started in 2009 except for 2014 when I lived and worked in London with my wife for a year.
Passionate about making sure people know how precious they are!
One handed push-ups and tying a snake in knots in my mouth are my special skills.
I love my wife & family, golf, the mighty Richmond Tigers, a good bad joke, & a good movie – A Knights Tale is my all time fav.
Would love to play a round of golf under par one day.
I hate it when people bully or put others down.
I love being part of a winning team and a place that is making a difference in the world like Streetlevel where people are valued, accepted & loved!
Streetlevel is part of the Salvation Army and was birthed out of the Brisbane City Temple Salvos community in 2009. Bruce and Anne Redman along with Alex and Danielle Scott pioneered this vision and were able to gain start up funding and Divisional approval for the mission to commence.
Majors Bryce and Sue Davies were appointed as leaders and along with Paul Maunder, Streetlevel opened it's doors in St Pauls Terrace in Fortitude Valley in 2009.
Streetlevel eventually found a home in St Pauls Terrace in Fortitude Valley. It was the ground floor of an office building, but there was a great garage that opened onto a side street and we could run our chapel service and cook a BBQ there. We had lots of community meals and opened our doors to whoever needed support. We found our groove and began to make an impact in the lives of people doing it tough in the local area.
