William Booth, one of founder of The Salvation Army once said, “go straight for souls and go for the worst.” He believed that everyone has the right to come to God no matter what their background, gender, age, race or colour. 

From that time, The Salvation Army has existed for over 150 years and now operates in 131 countries around the world.

Over the last 125 years in the South West, we have helped multitudes of people and although our methods have changed throughout the years, we continue to have a heart to God and a hand to man.

With this practical approach to showing people the love of God, we strive locally to be a church that reaches out with HOPE! 

For many people, this HOPE can come in many forms; relationally,      spiritually, emotionally or mentally.

So our mission, compelled by God’s love is that The Salvation Army          South West reaches out to people with the hope of providing

• A community to BELONG to;
• A place to discover how to BELIEVE in Jesus
• A chance to BECOME more than we are and
• Provide opportunity to BLESS others by passing on what we have seen and learned.
