Before it's estabishment in 2002, the Tom Quinn Community Centre area was native bushland that was largely inaccessible to the public.

In the 22 years since then, it has become a place that literally thousands of people have visited and enjoyed.

The development of the gardens has mainly been through volunteers, with supervision provided by the Tom Quinn Community Centre staff. Without the support of volunteers, the beautiful gardens would not be possible.

Each volunteers brings their own individual ideas into the development of the garden, which means it’s continually transforming.

In 2008 a flower and vegetable garden was established and in 2009 the Café and Bush Chapel were built. Other improvements include the Harmony Garden.

The Tom Quinn team of staff and volunteers continually challenge themselves to improve and evolve the gardens.
