Eva Burrows College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) (0328). This enables the Tom Quinn Community Centre (TQCC) to provide traineeships through Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW).

SQW funds training and support for unemployed or underemployed people, with a focus on young people (including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, mature-age jobseekers, women re-entering the workforce, veterans and ex-service personnel, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

  • SIT10222 Certificate I in Hospitality
  • AHC10120 Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management

Facilities

TQCC provides excellent facilities for vocational training which include:

  • Fully networked computers with wide range software applications
  • Café facility including Point-of-Sale facilities
  • Fully equipped workshop for building and construction
  • Fully equipped commercial kitchen with a garden cafe set amongst award winning gardens
  • Indoor heated therapy pool available for hire with Learn to Swim lessons available
  • Vocational trainers maintain strong links with industry and ensure that students have opportunities to extend their learning through excursions and vocational placements
