Aim

The aim of Jesuskidz@Salvos.post is to link by mail, children who live in isolated areas throughout Australia and beyond, or who through sickness and other circumstances, are unable to attend any Sunday school/Kid's club. The administration is done through Territorial Headquarters in Sydney for both the Southern and Eastern Territories.

Membership

All children from babies to 16 years of age are eligible to become members. In special circumstances there have been some mature aged and special needs members. Enrolment forms are available here, through every Divisional Headquarters, Flying Padre and the Rural Chaplain.

Finance

Jesuskidz@Salvos.post is financed through subscriptions, donations and subsidies from both the Australia Eastern and Southern Territories. Families are requested to pay an annual subscription of $15 per child or $20 per family group, if they are able. (Applications and payment are made directly to the Eastern Territory.) Personal inability to pay does not mean the service will discontinue. This annual subscription helps to cover some of the costs of postage and printing of the lesson book and the purchase of activity booklets.

Materials

All lessons are reproduced with permission from the Scripture Union Light curriculum to form an all-age family lesson book. The lesson book contains Bible background information, Bible stories and associated game/craft activities for each week.  A resource booklet helps with visual aids and craft activities.  Each child receives a separate activity booklet prepared for their individual age level. The family lesson book and the activity booklets are mailed to the families every three months.

The children are encouraged to complete specific pages in their activity book to be sent back to Territorial Headquarters for marking.  Annual book prizes are awarded to all children who respond with lesson pages, competition entries (when applicable) and donations. Each child also receives a card acknowledging their birthday each year.
