Get involved this Christmas
It has been another difficult year – even more so for those already experiencing hardship. To date The Salvation Army across Australia has experienced a sharp increase in the demand across its services and we are anticipating even greater demand this Christmas – and we simply can’t do it alone.
Here are some ways you can help the Salvos give a new beginning this Christmas.

Volunteer this Christmas
Volunteering is another way you can give this Christmas and we would love your help. Be part of supporting vulnerable families to celebrate Christmas in their own home with the dignity of a festive meal and presents for their children. In the lead up to Christmas, there are a number of volunteer activities which need your assistance, such as packing hampers, sorting donated toys, helping out with a community meal or Christmas event. Check out the volunteer opportunities, remembering more will be added as Christmas nears.
Volunteer nowSchools and education providers
Your school can make a big difference and give hope to Australians doing it tough this holiday season. There are lots of ways to get your school and students involved in The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal, including hamper packing, hosting a food/gift drive and fundraising.
