With another difficult year for many, Christmas time can add pressure especially to those already doing it tough. Your generosity, through volunteering can help us bring hope and joy this Christmas.

If you do not find a suitable Christmas volunteering opportunity listed, please check back regularly as more opportunities may arise as Christmas approaches.

Please note:

  • Christmas is our busiest time of the year and demand for volunteer opportunities is high, so we encourage expressions of interest to come via Seek Volunteer
  • Due to the high volume of interest, we may take some time to respond to your expression of interest
  • Our Christmas opportunities go live in mid-late November/early December, so make sure you check regularly and express interest early to avoid disappointment
  • Due to COVID-19, some volunteer opportunities may still be unavailable this year

COVID-19 Update: Whilst COVID-19 restrictions have eased, The Salvation Army still adheres to safe practices to prevent the spread of the virus such as encouraging social distancing and sanitation, as well as urging all workers (which includes volunteers) to stay home if symptomatic - even if tested negative. Where volunteers have special requirements to control the risk of contracting the virus, this can be discussed with event organisers.
