Cheering on generosity

Christmas Cheer is an iniative ran by most Salvation Army Corps throughout Australia, it is a program to distribute toys and hampers to Families who are needing a helping hand in the Christmas Season.

In the Christmas of 2024, Colac Salvos was able to distriubute over $24,000 worth of toys and hampers throughout the Colac Region and next year we have the desire to distribute even more across new methods, throughout the Colac Region.

Christmas Cheer wouldn't be possible without the generosity of the Colac Region and other businesses that The Salvation Army Australia has partnered with for decades to create hampers and the collection of toys needed to fill every families Christmas Stocking.

The Salvation Army's main partner for Christmas Cheer is Kmart, who host the Wishing Tree initiative to create a donation point for every Community, they also create toys that raise funds for the Christmas Cheer program throughout Australia.

Locally, organisations throughout the Colac Region were able to fill our van up nearly a dozen times with donations of presents and items to create hampers.

The organisations that donated in 2024 were:

Charles Stewart

Ray White

Kinfolk Chiropractic

Sinclair Wilson

Genua Brothers

Treasure Hunters

Colac Primary School

Thank you to each and everyone of these amazing businesses and organisations for their generosity and heart to spend time to share Christmas spirit in this hope filled season.
