The timbrel is a percussion instrument which has been used in worship for many centuries. The Salvation Army has a long tradition of playing the Timbrel as part of worship and celebration.
Sydney Congress Hall's Timbrel Brigade meets regularly for rehearsal and fellowship, and enjoys using their gifts as part of the Corps' outreach, worship and more. The Timbrels are a crowd favourite at Sydney's ANZAC Day March, and the annual 'Christmas with the Salvos at Martin Place' event.
