Captain Brad McIver - Executive Officer

Corps and involvement: Box Hill Citadel since 1992; Corps band conductor [his wife says he is not allowed to be the bandmaster!]

Date Joined: 1979, played euphonium prior to appointment as Bandmaster in 1994

Favourite Piece: The Present Age [Leslie Condon].  The message is still relevant today as it was when first presented back in the '60s.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Favourite Memory: International ministry and mission experiences, such as ISB 120 and the congress in Zambia, along with special occasions for outreach at major concert halls and local community festivals around Australia.  Future Brass continues to be a favourite memory as we encourage and journey with the next generation of musicians in The Salvation Army.

Other family in the MSB: My brother Darren is in the band.  My father, Robin, was a playing member of the band for 32 years and continued assisting the band with merchandise sales for a further 6 years.
