What does it take to build a generous culture?

As part of the Resourcing and Support Stream in the Mission Support Department, the Generous Culture Team supports faith community leaders to cultivate a spirit of generosity in their community.

Our key activities include upskilling on stewardship, generosity and giving within faith communities, through coaching and financial discipleship resources. We facilitate the recording of contributions through ChMeetings support, and provide data and report to help track local giving trends.

We have identified 10 essential practices for building a culture of generosity. Take this 10-minute survey to measure and assess the level of generosity in your faith community. Generous Culture Self-Assessment Form

Your Generous Culture Team is here to help.  Please take a look at our resources and let us know if you would like to find out more about living and leading to elevate the spirit of generosity in your life and the lives of those around you.

Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer

John Mark Comer's latest bookPracticing the Way book cover, Practicing the Way, is a study in what it means to be an apprentice to Jesus.

In it he identifies Generosity as one of nine core practices every disciple of Jesus should integrate into their spiritual formation Rule of Life.

"We’re made in the image of a happy, generous God. When we practice generosity, we live according to our design and tap into God’s joy."
